Sustainable Packaging

Sustainable packaging is very important across all BA sites. We want to minimise environmental impact whilst maintaining the packaging functional requirements.

Cardboard packaging made from 100% recycled material and is also recyclable.
Polystyrene fillers have been partly replaced with cardboard honeycomb fillers, and a solution to remove the remaining polystyrene packaging is under development.
Plastic strapping from carton packaging being replaced with a hot melt adhesive system (exception long length parcels).
Pallet strapping and shrink wrap have a 30% recycled content.
